Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, use our services, or contact us for support. This may include your name, email address, company name, and usage data.

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our services, process transactions, send you technical notices and support messages, and respond to your comments and questions.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties without your consent, except as required by law or to provide our services.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Analytics
We use analytics to understand how people find and use govscout.io. Umami (which we host ourselves) and Google Analytics record pages visited and general device and browser information. HeyCatch (heycatch.ai) records page views, clicks, and the source that brought you to the site, and, when you buy a Founding Membership, receives the purchase along with your name, email address, and plan from our payment processor so we can see which channels lead to customers. We use this data only to improve GovScout and do not sell it.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our service and hold certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.
Instagram Messaging
GovScout operates Instagram accounts that can automatically reply to people who comment a keyword (such as BIDS) on our posts. To do this we receive, through Meta’s Instagram API, the ID and text of that comment and the commenter’s Instagram user ID and username. We use them only to send one reply and one direct message containing a link to GovScout, and to avoid messaging the same person twice for the same comment. We keep only the comment ID; we do not store comment text, message content or profile information, and we do not sell or share this data.
Data Deletion
You can ask us to delete any data we hold about you, including data received through Instagram, by emailing privacy@govscout.io or by removing our app under Instagram Settings → Apps and websites. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days. Instructions are also available at https://dm.govscout.io/data-deletion.
